While riding in my friends car I saw this tree standing here while the sun went down so we pulled over and moved in the fields. The sun's light was kinda strong so i used 2 nd grad filters from cokin to compensate the high dynamic range. The only problem they caused was the blackness of the tree itself:S

Curves levels and saturation in photoshop cs3 through raw converter and some adjustmentlayer with masks.

Canon 5d with the 24-70 f/2.8 on f/16 1/30 sec on a manfrotto 055xprob.

I think, this one looks really Apolic-esque.
Really specific for you. :]

I love the green-ness of the grass. Lovely shot

Thanks andy! Do you find the darkness of the tree disturbing, or is it just fine?

I think that the darkness of the tree expresses the solitude of the tree, so i think it works well for this photo.

Great shot :+fav:

It doesn't bother me at all....infact this is a lot like a shot I of my own that I was thinking of submitting this week [link] ....with a very dark tree :-)

That tree looks a lot like it and the darkness doesn't bother me either. The picture got great vibrant colors, with a simple though good composition. I think the picture would fit nicely in your da-gallery and would add some more quality here on DA so consider submitting it:aww:

Thanks!
